Meet the Artist

Marisol D. Gomez

Marisol was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in New Braunfels, Texas. Since grade school, she has been painting and drawing, later being introduced to digital design in high school. Following high school graduation, Marisol attended The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where she received her B.S. in Biology and was introduced to the field of medical illustration. While she continues to pursue her education and career in research and healthcare, she has never stopped drawing, painting, and designing.

Now, she's found a way to bring together the two fields she loves most: art and STEM.

This portfolio brings together pieces inspired by neuroscience, anatomy, and histology, alongside a glimpse of her personality through work inspired by her travels, the things she loves, and the people she surrounds herself with.

Thank you for taking the time to explore her portfolio as she is excited to share both the Artist and Scientist in her!
